Saturday we played a few games for 6-8 players and The Chameleon was a big hit as always, which is why it's one of my favourite party games for families and beginners. Also it's one of my favourite boxes! The Chameleon is a sneaky game of deception and deduction. One player is secretly assigned the role of the Chameleon whilst the other players are all given a word from a grid of 16 possible words. Each grid has a theme such as Musicals or Movies and while everyone else knows exactly which one is the correct word, the Chameleon does not! In turn order each person gives a one word clue relating to the word to convince other players that they know which word is correct and are therefore not the Chameleon. However if your clue is too obvious, the Chameleon might be able to guess which word is correct. Give too vague a clue and your fellow players may believe you don’t know the correct word, branding you the Chameleon! The Chameleon’s job is to blend in and not be found out! Use deduction to work out which word is the correct one from the clues given by the previous players and try to give a clue on your go that doesn’t give you away!

Another Kickstarter delivery 🤩 So many new games to get played, luckily October is a pretty quiet month for us so hopefully we'll get through a few of them. Those zombies really are TINY... looking forward to finding out just how epic they are!

Here's what I got Daniel for his birthday! I love his birthdays because really I'm buying presents for me too 😂 except for the Downforce expansion... You know how terrible I am at Downforce 😏 we have a long weekend full of games, drinks and friends ahead of us starting with a family meal tonight. We have Monday off so hopefully get some of these played then if not before! If you could choose one of these 5, which would it be?

I stumbled across these Pathfinder Flip Tiles and couldn't resist giving them a go. Our travel encounters are often a little lack luster in terms of maps, often using just a plain grid so I thought the forest set might make a nice, quick and easy alternative... I'm looking forward to trying them out next week for out next session!

The third and final part of Family Games for Beginners is now on the blog! This time it's all about party games perfect for larger family gatherings (is it too early to say Christmas?! 😂). If you're bored of playing Trivial Pursuit or Articulate, try some of these!

I bought the Ranger spell cards for Daniel and made him a little DIY spell book, it works pretty well so I've encouraged all my new players to invest in some spell cards as they are all magical classes (bard, druid and wizard)! I picked up the Bard set for one of my players and it's a lot bigger than the Ranger set! Do you use spell cards? What other solutions have you tried in the past to keep track of spells? Oh, also I got some new dice this week but what's new... 😂😍

Kickstarter delivery from @thundergryphgames! I was worried I was going to regret not backing the Kickstarter Exclusive edition of Spirits of the Forest but the standard edition is so beautiful in it's own right! I love all the tokens and the art is really beautiful. Looking forward to getting this pretty thing to the table soon 😍

Setting up Scythe for Sunday Funday but who invited this guy?! If ever there was a cross over episode, this would be it! Also I REALLY need to paint my Scythe mini's 🙄

Some new editions arrived today 😍 Burgle Bros and Paperback by @tim.fowers have been on my wishlist for a long time. Can't wait to play them but it may be a while as we have another busy weekend ahead of us 😔
