Spire’s End is a card game reminiscent of the Choose Your Own Adventure books of the ’80s. With striking artwork in a simple colour palette of red, white and black, this is a dark adventure for 1 or 2 players.

The story sees you playing as a cast of Allies fighting against a mysterious evil taking hold in the city with the arrival of an ominous Spire protruding from the underdark.

Spire’s End aims to give you a compact RPG experience without the need for a Game Master or overly complicated rules systems. The components and set up are simple, there is just one big deck of cards which include the story, characters and rules, a small deck of action cards to randomise the actions of the big bads, a few 8 sided dice and a handful of tracker cubes.

The combat system is based around expending health in order to perform stronger and more effective attacks, but in turn this leaves you more vulnerable to attacks against you. For each attack you make, an 8 sided dice is rolled to determine just how effective the attack is, similar to systems such as D&D but much simpler.
